Visual perception problems are not just what we
see ...
Visual perceptual problems affect almost everybody at times.
However it is only necessary to assess and treat these difficulties
if they are significant. The symptoms experienced are NOT just
visual, they cover all sensory areas and are often therefore misunderstood
and misdiagnosed. Visual problems will resolve immediately by
modifying the input stimulus.
The problems found include reading problems (visual dyslexia),
spatial awareness difficulties resulting in clumsiness and dyspraxia,
migraine and frontal headaches, balance and proprioceptive problems,
hearing difficulties, short term memory problems, language problems,
speech difficulties (especially th/v/f discrimination, reduced
visual function, visual field problems etc….
A "normal" eye examination is not sufficient to address these
problems. Resultant underachievement at school / work is inevitable
with sufferers.
